Heading to bed early tonight with the guarantee that I will not be up at 3:30am to harvest cranberries in FarmVille, damnit.  I need some sleep.

Tomorrow is a big day for us because we are going to Bubba Jump for the whole 2 hours of toddler jump time.  Van has talked about it for days now, so we’re all looking forward to some fun.  I just hope that my calf feels a bit better before we go.  It’s hurting like crazy right now.  It’s fine when I walk on it, but when I sit still for any amount of time, I can barely walk on it.  Tried ibuprofen and a hot bath.  Nada.

Off to sleep.  Looking forward to tomorrow!

I am really staying on top of keeping our new house clean.  The dishes are all completely done and put away.  There’s food defrosting in the sink for dinner.  The living room is picked up and ready for play.  I haven;t managed to do my homework, but it’s not due until tomorrow, so I’m not yet truly procrastinating.

There’s not much to talk about today, so I’ll take comfort in knowing that life truly will continue on and tomorrow will be a new day.  Hopefully, a better one.

Well.  It’s day two.  I have still not managed to get up on time, but today it WASN’T my fault.  Someone turned my iPhone on silent and the alarm was quite quiet.

We’re making it through the day rather well considering that I was up until 1am when Van decided it was time to wake up with a bad dream and come sleep with us.  Not much sleep, but I am awake and I was out of bed and showered by 8…  Not too shabby.

I’m still planning on working out again today and I ate breakfast!  WOW.

We’ll see what happens as the afternoon progresses.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed for someone close to me who has an interview for a job today.  Good luck, Mickey Mouse.

I set my alarm and woke up when it went off.  I turned it off, though, and remained in bed until Van woke up.  I had every intention of getting up and working out before she got up.  Instead, I slept in.  Ru had to work 1p  to 10pm today, so it was too easy for me to stay in bed with everyone!

Now, we’ve eaten breakfast and lunch (I am eating after I work out…) and Van is down for a nap.  I’ve brought the workout machine I borrowed from Mom in from the garage and I’m all set to go.  I’m in my running shoes, spandex short (GASP!) and a sports bra.  I took photos to capture my progress along the way, but I’m not ready to post them here.  Perhaps if I actually manage to stick with it and look better, then I’ll post the entire set!

My only thought so far, about this whole workout thing,  is that I won’t be able to carry this ruddy thing into the house if/when I’m any kind of pregnant.  Of course, the whole point of this is to get into better shape so I fit back into my clothes and feel better about myself.

I’m off to work out during the Closer marathon on TNT, which leads up to the finale tonight (Go Kyra, congrats on the win!) which I am looking forward to while I finish up two homework assignments.

EDIT: Managed to burn 256 calories in 24 minutes.  Now, on to Yoga and free weights.  YAY!  I can do this every day…

“Why?” you ask.

It turns out that in the beginning of the “Swap Meet” season, which started on the first weekend of September, there aren’t very many vendors that come out to the swap meet.  This is due, in large part, to the fact that there aren’t very many people attending the swap meet.  This is due, in large part, to the fact that there aren’t any vendors, therefore no reason to go to the swap meet.  This is due, in large part, to the fact that there aren’t very many people attending the swap meet.

Do you see the dilemma?  It’s ridiculous.  We closed the eBay store because the new fee schedule made it impossible to earn any money.  For those of us who only sell a few items a month, having a store open with 100+ items that aren’t selling runs over $50 a month, not to mention the store fees.  We weren’t making $50 a month after the PayPal fees and shipping costs.  Unfortunately, eBay is only designed for LARGE bulk sellers and people who want to list one thing once in a blue moon.  Us smaller stores get lost in the shuffle.

On another note completely.  I have to discuss, rather quickly, the fact that we managed to pull 30/30 points on my Mock Trial for my HSN 544 class.  I’m ecstatic that I got the grade, and I feel that my partner and I really put the effort into the project, but I can’t help but wonder if the other three group members got the same grade.  The whole assignment was a giant cluster… um, really the only description that would work is cluster f*&%.  Really.  I don’t even want to get worked up about all of the communication issues, the plagiarism issues, the level of work that was barely appropriate for a high school paper, let alone a Master’s level course…  I could go on, but I’m not sure that I will be able to refrain from resorting to name calling.  Hell’s Bells!  Our instructor, after a long conversation, offered to split up the group for the final project.  My partner and I accepted and proceeded to start researching for the final project, of which we had already done all of the work on the project proposal due the week before our Mock Trial misery.  We had pages of references, class information, and other important research for the final project.  Thankfully, we were smart enough to communicate via email after the group split.  However, I was a little snarked to see that the other three members of our learning team had posted about the “cause” of the group split.  Let me be clear, in my entire program (2 years worth of Master’s level courses, this is my second to last class…), I have NEVER had any sort of problems with my learning teams.  I have a new one in each class, and even though there have been some conflicting personalities, the people in my groups have ALWAYS done their work and been able to research and write at an appropriate level.  I know that you shouldn’t use absolutes, but in this case, they fit absolutely.  So, this issue with my learning team really bothered me.  Now that we’re split and I see that I got the grade that I think my partner and I deserve, I can’t help but wonder if everybody got the same grade…

Now, I have an individual assignment due tomorrow.  I’ve done all the research and I am ready to write it, but I need to go help with dinner.  We’re having steak, so I’m forcing my husband to cook it because I cannot cook cow.  I don’t have a moral dilemma or some sort of issue with cows, I’m just terrible at cooking them.  If it’s possible to ruin a really expensive piece of filet,  I can do it!  Quickly and impossibly ruin it just by putting it into the pan!

We’re going to have a family dinner tonight and sit in the living room because we’re watching the Fifth Element and then the Last Unicorn.  Nice end to a weekend that my husband actually had off.

Tomorrow starts the day where I actually set and stick with a schedule.  We’re getting ready to open the daycare, hopefully we’ll have kids next month or so, and I need to get back in the habit of “going to work” every day.  Plus, it really irked me when the doctor told me “You’re well within the limits for your BMI”.  Yeah?  I don’t consider the very top limit of the scale, just a hair under overweight, to be “well within”.  I know.  I’m not fat.  I don’t think I am.  I just want my pants to fit again since we don’t have enough money to buy anymore.  It’s uncomfortable to wear pants that are too tight in 120+ degree weather in LHC.  And, none of my shorts fit.  I’ve taken to wearing my husband’s boxers around the house which isn’t going to happen once the daycare opens!  I borrowed a workout machine from Mom and I’m going to try and use it every morning before Van wakes up.  We’ll see.  It only takes a week to form new habits, right?!?

Let’s see.  We moved.  We have new jobs.  We opened a daycare.  Basically everything is totally different AND nearly everything is better.

As part of my stop-being-a-sloth campaign, I’m attempting to set aside a small part of my day to post.  Mainly for my own sake, but who knows.  If it helps me sleep at night, it has to be a good idea, right?

Thursday was my day off.

Friday, my husband came home from work (he works at the same retail giant) and told me that a certain someone in the pharmacy had been telling everyone I had gotten a D-Day* and then either quit or been fired (depending on which rumor you follow)

HOW FRAKKING IRRITATING

Of course, nothing is going to happen to her, even though it is against our company’s policy to allow such nonsense.  It’s irksome.

*At our company a D-Day (Decision Day) is something that happens after an employee has received a warning, a verbal coaching, and a written coaching.  When an employee gets a D-Day, they are required to take the next day off work (unpaid) to contemplate whether or not they want to continue their employment with the company.  Now, this means that the certain someone’s story had some extra credibility because I was indeed NOT AT WORK on Thursday after I supposedly got my D-Day.  

Now, I am sure, more than ever, that the situation in my pharmacy (especially when my boss goes out on maternity leave) will deteriorate rapidly and I’m glad that I’m getting out of there before it gets as bad as (if not worse than) it was in the other pharmacy.

I’m not going to be able to finish Scriptfrenzy.  It’s such a cop out, but the Master’s program is really requiring a lot of time, my daughter is a handful, and I truly don’t feel comfortable writing a screenplay on a novel I haven’t yet finished.

I think I will have to put it on the back burner so that I can concentrate on school and work on the novel in my spare (HA!) time and then attempt to finish the screenplay once I know the ending to my story.  This will give my best friend time to edit the novel, as she is super good at fixing my booboos  and it will give my husband more time to edit  the screenplay, as that is his specialty.

However, I can’t do that until I finish my  Organizational Change paper due in 7 minutes.

I will have time to post tomorrow, now that all of my work for the entire class is finished.  I have a whole week with NOTHING TO DO!!!  WOOT!

And, most importantly, I am running 55.85 points out of 56.  That’s an “A”, Baby!
